The Centre for the Reduction of Firearms Crime, Trafficking and Terrorism aims to reduce firearms-related offences and their impact through research and the creation of global partnerships.
International differences in firearms culture, legislation, enforcement and intelligence mean that creating unified responses across a global landscape is currently a challenging task.
The Centre therefore aims to proactively address these issues and respond to the needs of policymakers and law enforcement agencies to create a more efficient, evidence-led, joined-up approach.
Linked to, and supported by, internationally renowned bodies such as Interpol and the National Ballistics Intelligence Service (NABIS), the Centre has strong relationships to help put these aims in to practice.
