Citizens in Policing – A new paradigm of direct citizen involvement

Institute for Public Safety Crime and Justice Associate Dr Iain Britton recently presented the IPSCJ-produced Citizens in Policing – A new paradigm of direct citizen involvement paper at the Howard League Justice and Penal Reform Conference, Keble College, Oxford.

Speaking alongside Ed Barnard of the College of Policing, Dr Britton spoke on how citizen involvement is crucial to meeting the challenges facing modern policing – an area the IPSCJ is currently leading pioneering research in to through the Centre for Citizens in Policing.
