Produced with funding from the Police Transformation Fund, the IPSCJ has produced a number of research reports in to the work of Citizens in Policing across the UK. These include:
- A national benchmarking report, which presents data across ‘Citizens in Policing’ in England and Wales, with a focus primarily on Special Constables, Police Support Volunteers, Volunteer Police Cadets and volunteers within OPCCs;
- A national survey of Special Constables, which provides the findings of a National Survey of Special Constables conducted in Spring 2018, capturing the views and experiences of individuals across all forces in England and Wales; and
- A national survey of Police Support Volunteers, which draws comparisons to a previous survey undertaken in 2016 and uses the analysis to point to opportunities to improve the experience, contribution and impact of PSVs in policing.
