The IPSCJ has evaluated Northamptonshire Police’s coaching programme and presented the report this week.
The work was undertaken as a part of the East Midlands Police Academic Collaboration, under which the IPSCJ carried out research into organisational transformation and development.
Northamptonshire police trained a cohort of coaches and offered coaching to staff across the organisation. The aim of the research was to assess the impact of coaching, both personally and professionally, on those receiving and delivering the coaching.
Further research is intended in the future to assess the longitudinal impact of coaching and changes in the coaching culture.
