Lord Ian Blair


Lord Blair joined the Metropolitan Police Service in 1974. In 1998 he became Chief Constable and in 1999 was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service. From 2005 to 2008 he served as Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, before being appointed as a crossbench life peer in 2010.

Lord Blair is woking closely with the IPSCJ’s Centre for Citizens in Policing.
